The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell,” James 3: 6 New International Version. Positive confession, affirmations, and naming and claiming cannot override the power of the tongue. The Bible says that it has to be tamed because it’s small spark can set a forest on fire. It contains the power of life and death, and those who love using it will eat the fruit of their words.
