There are so many distractions in your every day life. Their purpose is to divert your attention, to trip you up, and to keep you from getting to your eternal destination. Hebrews 12: 1-2 in the New King James Version says, “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” The Finish-Line series will give you insight on how to run fueled by a vision of eternity.
The foundation is laid for the entire series: the faith life requires commitment, you need training to run the race, discipline helps you stay the course, and vision is seeing the end from the beginning.
God’s eternal vision for the believer is kingship. We examine His mission and vision statements from scripture and ask, “What are you dominating?”
We are all gold medalists in an endurance race. This week, we discuss the training, coaching, mentorship, and teaching that we get from the Word of God.
Beginning with the end in mind requires that you know how to deal with the in-between–the time, trials, and growth from where you are now to God’s eternal vision for your life. It requires discipline to stay on course.
