The Benefits of Being a God Stalker
A CASE FOR SEEKING GOD
Our online Bible study is called “God Stalkers”. That is just a Holy Spirit-inspired way to describe people who seek God with all their heart, mind, body and soul. The beautiful thing is that our obedience propels us into the will of God, but that’s not all. There are benefits to being a God Stalker, and I want to share a few with you. Our amazing God–our Heavenly Father–doesn’t command us to seek Him without giving us something in return. He actually blesses us for stalking–unlike the world, who punishes, shuns, avoids, and looks down on us for this obsessive behavior. Our amazing God rewards us for stalking Him. He rewards us for seeking Him.
He is constantly showing us how and why we should be beneficiaries of His love, how and why we should always seek Him, and once we find Him, never let go because He is the Lover of our souls. It is to our benefit to be in His presence as often as we can. It is to our benefit to pursue His love above all others, to learn how He operates, to repeat only what He says, and to line our thoughts up with His. Seeking God is an all-in or all-out proposition that brings God closer to you as you get closer to Him. The result is a relationship that changes you and everything around you for the better.

BENEFIT #1: HE INCREASES YOUR FAITH
Hebrews 11: 6 King James Version says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Faith is a requirement for seeking God. You have to believe that He exists and that He has something good for you. When you stalk God, you actually activate your faith–influencing every area of your life. The Bible says that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Do you have any mountains in your life that need to be moved? According to Romans 10: 17, seeking God requires that you hear His Word. When you do that, God rewards you with more faith. As you diligently spend time learning about Him–as you stalk Him–you get the byproduct of faith. He actually helps your unbelief.
BENEFIT #2: YOU GET HIS ATTENTION AND HIS HELP
Jeremiah 29:12-14 New King James Version says, “Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.”
As you search for God with your whole heart, as you call upon Him, He listens to you. He will also restore you to your rightful place in Him. You must understand that stalking God brings freedom and restoration. Stalking God is a heart thing. God wants you to stalk Him with all of your heart. He wants to be number one in your heart. He knows if you can grasp the connection of stalking Him with your whole heart, you will be able to be restored and free.
BENEFIT #3: HE BRINGS YOU JOY
Psalms 40:16 New International Version says, “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, ‘The Lord is great!'”
You can experience joy and happiness as you discover for yourself that God is great. As you stalk Him, He will help you navigate through life. He will give you answers to every issue that comes your way. You will see His great love, power and forgiveness in action in your life, and that will bring you freedom and happiness–real joy.
BENEFIT #4: HE GIVES YOU LIFE
God is life, and He provides you with life when you seek Him. He brings life to your dead situations. You can live and not die when you seek Jesus, when you walk in His way, and when you obey His commandments. He brings life to your family, your marriage, your job, and in your spirit. He is not just concerned for your eternity in Heaven. He wants you to have eternal life now.
BENEFIT #5: HE WILL ADD TO YOUR LIFE
Matthew 6:33 New King James Version says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
If you can focus on God and his ways, He will provide everything that you need as you stalk Him. Why? The Father cares about you, and He knows what you need before you can even think of it. Seeking God above everything else brings with it every good thing you can imagine. The rewards are automatic. You don’t have to beg for them. You don’t have to put in a special requisition for them. He owns everything, and He makes it all available to you.
BENEFIT #6: YOU WILL FIND HIM
Deuteronomy 4:29 King James Version says, “But if from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Seeking God comes with a guarantee. You will find Him. You are not wasting your time when you seek God with your whole heart. He will come to you to help and to restore. Your seeking is not in vain.
BENEFIT #7: HE WILL HEAL YOU
2 Chronicles 7:14 New International Version says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
When you humble yourself and seek God, when you stalk Him, He will bring healing to every part of your life. He wants to demonstrate His great love for you and how He longs to help you. As you turn from your sin to Him, you receive the cure for everything that ails you.
BENEFIT #8: HE LOVES YOU BACK
Proverbs 8:17 New International Version says, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.”
Your love for Him is not one-sided. He loves you back. When you stalk Him, He will be there for you, and you won’t have a problem finding Him. He is not like man. He is always faithful to those who love and obey Him.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Being a God Stalker is like being a member of an exclusive club. When you pay your dues, membership has its benefits. God loves it when we seek Him out, and He never fails to bless us for doing it. It shows Him that we are interested in and serious about getting to know Him.
When we take on the mindset of a stalker, that elevates our relationship with Him to a different level. Stalking God shows Him that we have no intentions of ever stopping–even after we find Him. He wants us to be whole and complete, and we can get there. Our relationship with Christ brings us faith and confidence, freedom and restoration, happiness, productivity, provision, His presence, and His identity.
